Course Objectives		The course unit aims to promote understanding of the concept of development and the various explanations of the causes of different levels of development.
Course Description		The course is designed to teach basic theories of development to understand better the main problems of the less developed countries.
Course Outcomes		At the end of the course, you should be able to identify the economic problems facing developing countries; and be able to apply economic analysis to those problems and to formulate and evaluate possible policy responses.
