Course Objectives Students who successfully pass the course will acquire knowledge on;

*Terminology of ship handling
* Basics of ship handling
* Procedures for anchoring and mooring
Course Description This course enables the students to gain fundamental knowledge on shiphandling and ship maneuvers.
Course Outcomes I. Theory and the forces effects on ships during the manoeuvres.

II. Ship handling terminology and standard commands.

III. The effects of engines/propellers, rudders, thrusters, mooring lines, anchors, tugs, wind and current, pivot point and turning circle
