Course Objectives

1. To teach personal survival techniques at sea.
2. To teach the operation and handling of survival craft and rescue boats.
3. To teach fire prevention and firefighting.
4. To teach elementary first aid techniques.
5. To teach personal safety and social responsibility

Course Description

This course includes the following topics necessary for students to do their onboard
training under the IMO/STCW framework: Personal survival techniques at sea,
Survival craft and rescue boats, Fire prevention and firefighting, Elementary first aid,
Personal safety and social responsibilities.
