Course Description

Basic concepts and functions of Human Resources Management (HRM). Company-ship organization and seafarer management. HRM practices for seafarers; seafarer HRM planning, recruitment and selection, training, certification, performance appraisal, career planning. Seafarer wage management, HRM Information Systems used in maritime. Adaptation of staff to marine life and ship. International and Strategic HRM concepts and maritime applications.
