Course Objectives		1.To teach the basic concepts of electrical machines. 2.To teach electrical systems and devices on ships. 3.To teach the control systems of electric machines. 4.To set up the control systems of electrical machines and to make tests and measurements.
Course Description		Basic electrical concepts and electrical circuit diagrams. batteries. Transformers. Ship electricity generation and distribution systems. High voltage systems. DC and AC generators and motors. Motor control equipment and circuits. Measurement, testing and fault diagnosis of electrical devices. Circuit reading
Course Outcomes		I. Learns the basic concepts of electrical machines. II.Learns the electrical systems in ships. III.Learns the control systems of electrical machines. IV. Sets up the control systems of electrical machines and makes measurements.
