Course Objectives		1. To teach basic knowledge about hydraulic and pneumatic. 2. To teach components of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. 3. To teach about hydraulic and pneumatic systems on board.
Course Description		Hydraulic and pneumatic basics. Hydraulic pumps. Air compressors. Cylinders and motors. Hydraulic oils and properties. Control devices and seals. Pressure control, flow control and directional control valves and their symbols. Troubleshooting in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Hydraulic and pneumatic systems on board. (Steering gears, starting systems for two and four stroke engines etc.)
Course Outcomes		Students who pass the course will be able to; I. Learn about basic laws in hydraulic and pneumatic. II. Learn about basic components of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. III. Learn about hydraulic and pneumatic system valves. IV. Learn about basic hydraulic and pneumatic applications on board.
