Course Objectives		To teach the basic concepts related to HRM, To teach the basic concepts of company, ship, and seafarer management, To teach seafarer training and performance evaluation, To teach the applications of HRM in the maritime field.
Course Description		Basic concepts and functions of Human Resources Management (HRM). Company-ship organization and seafarer management. HRM practices on seafarers; seafarer HRM planning, recruitment and selection, training, certification, performance appraisal, and career planning. Seafarer wage management, HRM Information Systems used in maritime. Adaptation of personnel to sea life and ship. International and Strategic HRM concepts and their applications in maritime.
