Course Objectives 1.Introducing the approaches and mathematical models used in kinematical and dynamical analysis of machinery.
2.Giving the fundamental knowledge on kinematic and dynamic design of machinery.
Course Description Classification of mechanisms, kinematic pairs, kinematic chains, kinematical analysis and synthesis of planar mechanisms, review of the fundamental principles of mechanics, dynamics of machinery, machine equation of motion, force analysis in machinery, mass balance in machinery, smoothing of machinery motion, undamped, damped, free and forced vibrations of single-degree-of-freedom systems, seismic vibration measuring devices, vibration isolation.
Course Outcomes Students who pass the course will be able to:
I.Formulate and solve the fundamental problems on the kinematics and dynamics of machinery,
II.Formulate and solve the basic machine vibration problems,
III.Get basic knowledge on the kinematic and dynamic design of mechanisms and machines.
