Introduction to the boilers; Classification and construction of boilers; Auxiliary elements of boilers; Furnaces and combustion systems; Design of furnaces; Heat transfer in furnaces; Convection in heat transfer surfaces; Heat losses and efficiency; Furnace temperature; Thermal design of boiler, pressure drops, strength issues.
