MAK 450 - Vehicle System Dynamics and Control

Course Objectives

1. Analyse the control problems in vehicle dynamics and develop techniques for solution
2. Ontain information on the technological background for the system realisation
3. Construct system dynamics model of the sub-systems in the vehicle
4. Use Matlab/ Simulink for solving vehicle dynamics problems
5. General literature survey on vehicle dynamics

Course Description

In this course, fundamental vehicle dynamics is thought including mathematical model construction, solution and control applications related to vehicle dynamics. In the scope of the course, standardized active vehicle safety systems such as ACC, ABS, EPS are thought as well as suspension system dynamic response and some digital signal processing applications in vehicles.
