Course Objectives

1. To train students to obtain and analyze fluid properties and flow parameters.
2. To train students on how to define and solve flow problems.
3. To provide students with experience in using computer to solve the fluid flow problems.

Course Description

Properties of fluids, Classification of fluids, Fluid satistics and its applications, Fluid flow phenomena, Basic equations of fluid flow, Mechanical energy equation, Incompressible flow in pipes and channels, Flow of compressible fluids, Transportation of fluids, Measurement of flowing fluids.
