Course Objectives

1. Assessment of the differences between liquids and gases.
2. Surface tension in fluids and related problems
3. Appliction of hydrostatic laws to Daily problems
4. The measurement and/or calculation of a velocity profile within a fluid.
5. Velocity, volumetric flow rate and pressure measurement techniques.
6. Forming non-dimensional groups

Course Description

General topics, hydrostatics, kinematics, conservation equations in integral form, linear momentum theorem, Bernoulli equation and its applications, Navier-Stokes equation, Non-dimensional numbers, Similarity
