Course Objectives

1. To introduce the basic concepts of Fluid Mechanics.
2. To gain the ability to define, formulate, reduce and use the basic equations of Fluid Mechanics in solving problems.

Course Description

Viscous flows in pipes, Laminar and Turbulent flow, Head losses, Flow around submerged bodies, Boundary layer equations, Potential flow, Introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics, Compressible flow, Turbomachinery, Water hammer.
