Course Objectives		1) Introduction to different type of boilers design 2) Boilers design procedure and theory
Course Description		Introduction to the boilers; Classification and construction of boilers; Auxiliary elements of boilers; Furnaces and combustion systems; Design of furnaces; Heat transfer in furnaces; Convection in heat transfer surfaces; Heat losses and efficiency; Furnace temperature; Thermal design of boiler, pressure drops, strength issues.
Course Outcomes		Students who pass the course will be able to: 1. Basic design procedure and theoretical knowledge of the boilers (1) 2. Heat transfer, pressure drop, calculations and mechanical design of boilers. (2) 3. Steam Boiler project (1,2,4)
