Course Objectives
1. General information about tribology
2. Fundamentals of bearing arrengements with sliding bearings
3. Fundamentals of bearing arrengements with rolling bearings
4. Introduction and kinematics of positively connected speed reducers
5. Presentation of the design properties and calculation methods of gear, worm, belt-pulley and chain mechanisms.
6. Development of construction knowledge and skills in project work.
7. Introduction to the synthesis phase in construction.
Course Description
Tribology, sliding and rolling bearings. Overview of speed reduction mechanisms, gear kinematics and geometry, straight, helical, bevel, spiral and worm gear mechanisms, belt-pulley mechanisms, chain mechanisms.
