Course Objectives 1. To discuss the time dependent behavior of nuclear reactors,
2. To introduce calculation for heat removal from nuclear reactors,
3. To teach the principles of radiation protection,
4. To teach principals of radiation shielding,
5. To introduce knowledge about nuclear reactor licensing,
6. To share the information about safety and environmental impacts of nuclear reactors.

Course Outcomes Undergraduate students who successfully pass this course gain knowledge, skills and proficiency in the following subjects;
1. Understanding nuclear reactor kinetics,
2. Learning heat transfer and heat removal in nuclear reactors,
3. Understanding the fundamentals of radiation protection ,
4. Understanding radiation shielding,
5. Learning licensing procedures of nuclear reactors,
