Course Objectives

The primary objective of this course is to teach the fundamental principals about brakes, wheels, steering, suspension and safety systems and their functions, structures and dimensioning in road
vehicle design.

Course Description

Design and specifications of brake systems, pneumatic and hydraulic brake systems, disc and drum brakes, elements of brake systems, auxiliary elements of brake systems, pneumatic tires and rims, design of suspension systems, springs and dampers, steering wheel mechanisms.
