Course Objectives 1. Understanding of digital control system modeling, Signal sampling and Shannon theorem.
2. Understanding of Z transform, Frequency response and Root locus.
3. Stability analysis and design of PID and RST controllers for digital control systems.
Course Description Review of continuous-time control systems. Introduction to digital control systems. Signal sampling and Shannon theorem. Z transformation. Difference equations. Discrete state equations. Discrete transfer function. Stability of discrete-time systems. Nyquist criteria. PID controller design in Z plane. RST controller design.
