Course Objectives
The main objective of this lecture is teaching the principles of kinematics and kinetcis of particles and rigid bodies, and making an introduction to vibration analyses.
Course Description
Dynamics is divided into two parts as kinematics and kinetics. In kinematics, geometry of the motion of a body will be studied regardless of the causes behind. Students will learn to determine the relations between displacement, velocity, acceleration and time. In kinetics, the relations existing between the forces acting on a body, the mass of the body, and the motion of the body will be studied. Students will learn to predict the motion caused by given forces or to determine the forces required producing a given motion. At this part of the course, we’ll encounter several different approaches, each owns certain advantages.
