Course Objectives		The main objectives of the course is to acquaint students the well log tools and how to analyze well logs to extract information necessary for drilling, production and reservoir engineering activities.
Course Description		An overview of well logging. Conventional interpretation techniques. Determination and interpretation of complex lithologies: Dual porosity method, Three porosity method, MN method and MID plot method. Pattern recognition interpretation techniques: Hingle crossplot and Pickett crossplot. Reconnaissance interpretation techniques. Evaluation of gas-bearing formations.
