Course Objectives
To have students gain the ability to for applying necessary operations to
get the wells ready and introduce necessary equipment to produce. To teach designing and managing these operations.
Course Description
Well completion methods. Formation damage. Planning hydraulic fracturing
operations. Hydraulic fracturing fluids and propping agents. Productivity ratio of hydraulically fractured wells. Designing acidizing operations, acid-rock interaction, acid-frac operation design. Casing landing and buckling. Tubing landing and buckling. Perforation and squeeze cementing. Sand control.
