Course Objectives 1) To make data analysis and comments, to define a geological problem and to imrove presentation skills by using various pc programs.
2) To produce maps, to form a geologic model in 2D and 3D, to produce geological cross-sections and blockdiagrams.
3) Histograms and rose diagrams, water chemistry diagrams
4) PC applications in Earth Sciences
Course Description Subjects of the course held by two different instructors are;
Collecting- preparing geological data, geological data analysis in 2D and 3D, diagrams and their usage in geology, producing topographical-geological maps of rectified areas, producing digital models of rectified areas and projecting geological engineering data on digital models.
Course Outcomes 1) To use piper diagram in hydrogeology
2) To project geological data on histograms and rose diagrams.
3) To produce stereographic projection diagrams for marking structural geology data
4) To produce mineral formula and to recalculate the chemical analyses values
5) To produce digitilazed geological maps
6) To produce numerical field models
7) To use computer programs in various geological studies
