Course Description

The importance of process planning and mineral processing. The importance of sampling and mineralogy in process planning. Design of crushing and screening circuits and material balance. Design of grinding circuits and material balance. Basic enrichment circuit schemes. Design of physical enrichment circuits and material balance (by classification by size enrichment, manual sorting, enrichment by specific gravity difference, magnetic separation). Design of flotation circuits and material balance. Examples of processes from enrichment facilities.
