Gaining a general perspective about geological sciences via identification and classification of minerals
Understanding the processes shaping Earth by learning the basics of mineralogy
Learning how to classify the minerals based on their chemical and physical properties
Gaining the ability to identify different minerals

Course Description

The mineralogy deals with the systematic study of minerals. Within the scope of the course, different mineral groups, their formation and the methods which we use to identify the various groups of minerals are discussed within the scope of descriptive mineralogy.
