In the scope of this course the students will learn about the equipment used and automation systems in mineral processing plants

Course Description

Definition and importance of automation in mineral processing, purpose of automation and application areas. Field equipment and introduction of methods. Flow measurement, level measurement, pressure measurement, weight measurement, pH and temperature measurements, strain gauges. PLC’s and SCADA system
