Course Objectives
The objective of the course is to teach students basic knowledge and to provide the ability for performing engineering calculations related to state of stress, strain, failure, torsion and shear.
Course Description
State of stress, state of strain, Mohr's circle, mechanical properties of materials, yielding and fracture criteria, internal forces and diagrams, introduction to rods, axial loads, shear, torsion, pure bending.
