Course Objectives Creating 2D and 3D graphs, diagrams, and maps by using Grapher and Surfer programs developed by the Golden Software.
Course Description Using software for analysis, interpretation, description and presentation of data gathered by geological engineer. Mapping, geological modeling in both in 2D & 3D, geological cross sections, volume calculations, stratigraphical block diagrams, rose diagrams, water geochemistry including piper, stiff and Langelier-Ludwig-diagrams, application of stereographic projection techniques in geology with selected computer softwares, recalculation scheme for major chemical oxides and rock-forming minerals, statistical evaluation of univariate and bivariate data analysisi in geology, using trace and rear earth elements in petrological and geochemical studies, and introduction to software practices in hydrogeology and rock mechanics.
