Course Objectives
1. To teach the properties of mine atmosphere and ventilation measurements,
2. To instruct the peak events as mine fires, explosions and gas outbursts and prevention
methods,
3. To teach how to investigate the air distribution and solve the ventilation
network problems
Course Description
1. The importance of ventilation and the responsibility of the mining engineers in ventilation,
2. The properties of mine atmospheres and vantilation measurements,
3. Mine fires, gas and dust expolosions and prevention methods against them,
4. The concepts of resistance, pressure drop and air quality and their relations,
5. Natural and mechanical ventilation,
