Course Objectives
Many phenomena in engineering can be described using mathematical models, which may not be solved analytically. Numerical methods are used to find an approximate solution. The aim of this course is to introduce various numerical methods to solve different engineering problems.

Many phenomena in engineering can be described using mathematical models, which may not be solved analytically. Numerical methods are used to find an approximate solution. The aim of this course is to introduce various numerical methods to solve different engineering problems.
Course Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will:
? learn error and convergence analyses in numerical methods;
? learn linear and nonlinear regression analyses;
? solve systems of linear and nonlinear equations by using numerical methods;
? be familiar with the concepts of optimization;
? learn numerical differentiation and integration.
