MAT 115E - Intro. to Programming Language

Course Objectives

1. To familiarize students with the fundamentals of scientific computing concepts
2. To develop problem solving skills
3. To develop skills in constructing an algorithm
4. To train students how to use programming skills in scientific calculations
5. To train students to visualize their results and prepare written reports
6. To develop team work and research skills

Course Description

This course is an introduction to scientific programming using the language C to develop concepts and code programs. In this lecture-lab course, topics are presented and practice programs are explained by the instructor while assigned programs are to be completed by students during lab periods and if necessary outside of class.
