1. To inform students about techniques used in molecular biotechnology
2. To inform students about the methods of producing genetically modified organisms and their usage area
3. To give basic knowledge about the usage of molecular biotechnology in medical areas
4. To give basic knowledge about the contribution of emerging technologies to molecular biotechnology

Course Description

Expression of foreign DNA in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, transgenic plants and animals, vaccines, molecular diagnosis, human gene therapy, genetically modified organisms in food, environment and industry; protein engineering, bionanotechnology, applications of mammalian cell cultures
