KIM 422 - Industrial Chemistry

Course Objectives

1. To provide information in the topic of industrial chemistry,
2. To provide experience in carrying out a literature search for conscious usage and making comments
3. To practice laboratory works about industrial chemistry topics,
4. To provide the ability to communicate effectively in writing report about Industrial Chemistry analysis results.

Green Engineering- Integration of Green Chemistry, Pollution prevention, and Risk-based Consideration, Wood and wood products, lignin separation and paper formation, Industrial Catalysis: Heterogenous and homogenous catalytic systems, Coal Technology for power liquid fuels and chemicals,
Nanotechnology: fundamental principles and applications, Soap, fatty acids and synthetic detergents, Petroleum and Its Products, Sulfur and Sulfuric acid, development of the Sulfur Industry, development of the Sulfuric Acid Industry, Rubber, synthetic and natural rubbers and their general properties, Salt, Chlor-Alkali and related heavy chemical, The chemistry of structural Adhesives, Epoxy, Urethane and Acrylic Adhesives, Pigments, Paints, Polymer coatings and printing inks, Synthetic Resins and Plastics
