ITB 203 - Introduction to Sociology

Course Objectives

This course is designed to
1) improve the ability of teoretical and conceptual thinking and expressing about social problems
2) to improve the ability of analyzing and comprehending social relations from a sociological perspective
3) to develop critically articulating and discussing the current social issues
4) to develop the skills of researching, reading and discussing the literary and visual texts

Course Description

This course, which focuses on the contemporary sociological perspective, requires active participation and production. Current social issues which will be evaluated according to the weekly plan of the course will be theoretically and critically discussed by visual and literary texts.
