Course Objectives

This is an introductory course to the sociology of gender. The aim here is to familiarize the students with some of the main concepts of gender from a feminist perspective. While the students are not expected to have any background knowledge on the topic, they are however expected to keep a progressive and enthusiastic attitude towards understanding why gender mattters.

Throughout the course, we will scrutinize some of the major topics and themes pertaining to the sociology of gender.
