Course Objectives
The objective of this course is to show student within a given research project
1. which steps to follow in solving a problem,
2. how to interpret the results they obtain,
3. how to write the results in the correct format and language, and
4. how to present in front of their peers and judges.
Course Description
This is a class for Mathematics Engineering majors to gain basic knowledge on how to
do basic research, to apply their knowledge to problem solving, to write the results
they obtain as a report and to present their findings.
Course Outcomes
student who finishes this course successfully will learn:
I. How to apply what he learned in 4901 to a research problem,
II. How to devise solutions to problems they will face,
III. How to do devise a work plan and follow it,
IV. How to interpret and assess the outcomes of the solutions they devise,
V. How to write these outcomes in the right format, and
VI. How to present these outcomes.
