Course Objectives
Statistic and probability concepts, probability distrubutions, distribution function, discrete disributions: Bernoulli, Binomial, Hypergeometric, Poisson, Pascal, continuous distributions: Normal, Gaussian, Exponential, Expectation, Moment generating function, mean, variance, standart deviation, covariance, correlation, basic sampling methods, one and two sample test for means, Hypothesis testing, Student’s t, and Chi-square testing.
Course Description
Inform and teach to engineering students the main probability and statistical methods with techniques for gaining interpretation of their interesting area data.
Course Outcomes
Bu dersi başarıyla tamamlayan öğrenciler;
1. Permütasyon ve kombinasyon problemlerini çözebilme
2. Olasılık, şartlı olasılık ve rasgele değişken kavramlarını anlayabilme
3. Mühendislikteki gerçek hayat problemlerini istatistik kullanarak çözebilme.
4. İhtimal fonksiyonlarını detaylarını anlayıp bunların mühendislik uygulamalarını yapabilme
5. Merkezi eğilim ve yayılım ölçülerini hesaplamak.
6. İstatistiksel testleri anlamak.
7. Tek ve çift Ana Kütle Ortalaması için Hipotez Testi kurup yapabilmek.
