Course Objectives		Examing of following: Modernization process of the Ottoman Empire that started in the 18th century, fall of the Ottoman Empire, Turkish War of Independence and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Peace Conference of Lausanne and Treaty of Lausanne
Course Description		Modernization process of the Ottoman Empire, period of the Union and Progress Party (İttihat ve Terakki Fırkası) government, Ottoman-Italian Tripolitanian(Trablugarp) War, Balkan Wars, World War I, , Turkish War of Independence and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Peace Conference of Lausanne, Treaty of Lausanne
Course Outcomes		Students who successfully pass this course gain knowledge, skill and competency in the following subjects: 1. Gaining academic information on the last 200 years of the Ottoman Empire 2. Gaining academic information about the Turkish War of Independence 3. Gaining information about Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his leadership position in the Turkish War of Independence 4. Gaining academic information about the Peace Conference of Lausanne and Treaty of Lausanne
