Fundamentals of the evolution of organisms; natural selection and the mechanisms of evolution; history of life on Earth; structure and function at organism level; behaviour of organisms in biological and physical environment; cell and tissue structure in plants; transport, nutrition, reproduction and signalling mechanisms in plants; cell and tissue structure in animals; digestive, circulatory, respiratory, immune, excretory and endocrine systems in animals
