Course Objectives 
Course ObjectivCourse Objectives :
1  To teach to use of symbolic computation software
2  To teach their applications to the solution of basic problems in analysis and linear algebra.

Course Description 
Course Content :
General introduction to computer algebra packet such as Matlab Mathematica, MuPad, Maple. Basic grammar and syntax in symbolic programming. Assigning value to symbols. Lists. Defining functions. Plotting functions and data. Symbolic calculations. Loops and conditional statements. Finding roots by using symbolic calculation. The solution of systems of linear equations. Calculation of Taylor series. The method of least squares.

Course Outcomes 
1 Use at least two different sumbolic programming software
2  Plot data and functions with these programs
3  Do symbolic computations and use special functions
4  Write programs involving loops and if statements and define rules
5  Solve analysis problems such as root finding and series expansions with symbolic and numeric methods
6  Solve linear algebra problems such as finding least squares solutions with symbolic and numeric methods
