GEO 525E - Geographic Information System Analysis
Course Objectives
1. Examining the theoretical infrastructure of GIS analysis
2. Examining the use cases and feasibilities of GIS analysis
3. Implementing GIS analysis.
4. Presenting the results of GIS analysis via maps by considering cartographic design principles
Course Description
Building GIS databases is the main achievement of GIS implementation. However, the valuable results of the GIS implementation are obtained after executing proper spatial analysis by using the spatial data stored in well designed GIS databases. This course includes GIS analysis (in theory and practice) used for determining and mapping position, amount of distribution, change and relations of spatial phenomenon.
