Course Objectives
1) An introduction to the language, logic, and math of numerical methods as
used in engineering and the sciences
2) An opportunity to learn how numerical analyses can be applied to a wide
range of problems of importance in the sciences, industry, and society
Course Description
Sayısal Yöntemlerin tanımı ve özellikle mühendislik uygulamalarındaki
kullanımının açıklanması. Sayısal yöntemlerde hata analizi, analitik
çözümler, lineer ve lineer olmayan denklem sistemi çözümleri, yaklasım
yöntemleri, interpolasyon, lineer regresyon, sayısal integrasyon
Course Outcomes
Student, who passes the course satisfactorily will have:
1. the fundamental knowledge of numerical methods,
2. the ability to use the knowledge about numerical methods in analyzing a
problem,
3. the ability to choose the right solution method for a particular event.
