Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to explain the industrial production methods of organic compouns starting from petroleum. Besides, the difference between industrial and laboratory scale production of organic compounds will be explained.
Course Description
Energy and raw materials, olefins, acetylenes, diolefins, olefin metathesis, synthesis with carbon monoxide, oxo process, oxo aldehydes, carbonylation of olefins, oxidation products of ethylene, glyoxal, dioxane, polyetoxylates, acetaldehyde, acetic acid, ethyl acetate, alcohols, alfon synthesis, pentaerythritol, neopentyl glycol, vinyl halogens and oxygen compounds, polyamide components, aromatics, benzene derivatives, xylene and naphtalene derivatives.
