Course Objectives
1- To explain fire types and their characteristics,
2- To give necessary knowledge and managerial skills to handle all kind of fire cases.
Course Description
Introduction, Fire Terms and Definitions, Fire Types, Responsing to Fire, Fire Extinguishing Mechanisms and their Principles, Secondary Disasters Due to Fires, Health and Environmental Issues on Fires, Fire Precautions, Detection and Warning Systems, Structural Risks and Mitigation, Fire Risk Management and Planning, Evacuation Planning and Management Special Fires and Responsing, Analysing Case Studies,Fire Related Standarts and Codes, Laws and Regulations.
Course Outcomes
Students who successfully pass this course gain knowledge in the following subjects ;
1- Fire types and their characteristics,
2- Taking necessary precautions for preventing fire,
3- Fire Safety and Fire Extinguishing,
4- Fire Management and developing Fire Operations Plan.
