Course Objectives
Standards provide the basis to manage various data sets and systems with common approaches. The aim of the course is to give information about the importance of standards on geo-data management, current international geo-data standards, and the usability of these standards. In this way, using geo-data standards will be examined on building and developing GIS by examples.
Course Description
Standard concept and geo-data standards, geo-data standards in Turkey, geo-data standards of ISO/TC211 geographic information/geomatics comittee and OGC-Open Geospatial Consortium, Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe (INSPIRE) standards and development progress
