Course Objectives 1. To provide a holistic perspective on information security with technology, organization and management pillars.
2. Introduction to threat modeling and risk management
3. To gain practical experience in information security management through a case study (project)
Course Description Basic Concepts and Principles, Threat Modeling, Risk Management, Information Security Planning and Management, Security Policies, Security Measures, Certification and Accreditation, Human Factors in Security, Legal and Ethical Issues.
Course Outcomes 1. Students will recognize the issue of information security from its different aspects. 2. Students will gain experience in information security management and planning through a case study project. 3. Students will have a basic knowledge of encryption and other basic security measures. 4. Students will gain basic information about the security certification process. 5. Students will learn about international and national legal regulations regarding information security.
