Course Objectives

To familiarize students with the fundamentals of scientific computing concepts.
To develop skills in problem solving and constructing an algorithm.
To train students how to use problem solver program in scientific and engineering calculations.

Course Description

Introduction to Matlab Computing Environment, Basic Input / Output, Matrix Operations, Built-in functions, Algorithms, Program Flow Control, Functions, Linear Algebra, Plotting, Root Finding, Polynomials and Curve Fitting, Interpolation, Numerical Integration and Differentiation, Symbolic Mathematics, Solving Ordinary Differential Equations.
