1. To teach the concept of democracy

Course Description
Democracy Culture and Participation, Politics in the Age of Television, Information Revolution and Political Consequences, Digital Literacy, Communication, Information and Democracy, Digital Activism, Communication Information and Democracy, Digital Activism, E-civil society, Social Networking and Politics, Election Campaigns and Internet, Internet Governance, E-Government and E-Democracy, Electronic Global Village, Digital Democracy and Political Power, The Future of Democracy.
Course Outcomes
The course is intended to assist students in achieving the following learning objectives:
1. The ability to understand the impact of information communication technologies on politics, government, political power, globalization, and civic engagement,
2. The development of critical and analytical thinking, research skills, proper source documentation and written presentation,
3. The ability to use online resources as a vehicle for personal civic engagement,
4. The ability and confidence to discuss political ideas through classroom discussion and oral
presentation
