Course Objectives
1. Examine the state reduction and state assignment methods in synchronous sequential circuit design
2. Design of the asynchronous sequential circuits
3. Troubleshoot problems encountered in design of the asynchronous sequential circuits.
Course Description
State reduction in completely specified machines. State assignment in synchronous sequential circuits. Analysis of asynchronous sequential circuits. Design of asynchronous sequential circuits. State reduction in incompletely specified machines. State assignment methods. Hazards in asynchronous sequential circuits, iterative circuits, sequential arrays
