Course Objectives 2. To define the fundamental aspects of site conservation; to discuss certain site conservation examples from Turkey and also from around the world; to investigate and evaluate various approaches regarding site conservation.
Course Description The general and regional characteristics of historic environments in Turkey; analysis of these characteristics on some important examples; discussion and evaluation of the problems and proposals of conservation interventions on selected sites; successful urban conservation examples from important European historic towns like Bologna, Roma, Paris/Le Marais, etc.
