Course Objectives
1. To introduce theoretical fundamentals of design optimization.
2. To improve the ability to use the principles of theory of optimization in engineering problems.
Course Description
Basic concepts of design optimization, functions of one and several variables, unconstrained functions with several variables, constrained functions with several variables, approximation techniques, discrete variable optimization and multi-objective optimization, structural optimization, multidiscipline design optimization
